i hate the comparison with pac and big cause ,although they were similar,they were 2 different rappers with 2 different directions

was pac a lyricist ?, yes and no, his intentions was never methapors and wordplay.....at least not til later in his career. in the beginning, his flow was basic, southern flow like, but progressed little by little thoughout his career. 

but his rap was completely dependent on his message. he was more chuck d than rakeim...he never seemed to care much about being a lyrical show off....but in the sense of storytelling and description i consider him a lyricist

big ,for the craft of the matter, was a textbook lyricist... wordplay , metaphors, flow, delivery, the whole thing was there....but that was his intention all along...thats why his pain wasn't felt like pac's was....his message was secondary, he was just trying to be the best technical rapper
