About Me

Syzzle born Francois Yancy Jr. in Chicago, IL, has been the center of interest since conception. Being an eighties baby and growing up in the nineties definitely contributed to his deep appreciation of Hip-hop culture and music as a whole. At age five he and his family moved from Chicagos south side to Hartford, CT. The wealthy, suburban image of Connecticut it shattered in the city streets of its capital: a poverty-plagued city dealing with violence, and crime in a distinct contradiction to the upscale stereotype. Despite being in the constant shadow of its larger neighboring cities (New York and Boston), Hartford has emerged as a promising provider of talent and gained a noticeable presence in the Hip-hop world, with artists such Syzzle. As early as ten, the articulate and charismatic youngster began filling those classic composition notebook pages with the music of the future. When asked, Syzzle once stated "To me, the only difference between living your dream and chasing your dreams is your relentless optimism." The name Syzzle efficiently describes his passionate and fiery attitude. He also attributes a great deal of his past success to the radio industry powerhouse, Hot93.7s support of his music and for providing the necessary publicity to effectively advance Syzzles visibility. Some of his career highlights include modeling for Expressions Clothing and Footwear— New Englands leader in mens high fashion urban wear. He independently sold, in and around the tri-state and New England, more than 5,000 copies of his 2007 debut mixtape Introducing the Pulse—hosted by the world famous DJ Kurupt. He also produced, manufactured and distributed a lucrative mixtape compilation called Bullyin the Streets. If you arent already familiar, put yourself on notice.
