Like fellow West Coast rapper Ice-T, Ice Cube will soon join the ranks of rappers who portray police officers on the big screen.

Variety reports that Cube, known for writing N.W.A. classic “Fuck tha Police,” will star as a “rogue cop with a soft spot for his sister,” in the upcoming action comedy Ride Along.
