Game Flirts with Indie Label Move Possibility!

Game could really be saying goodbye to Interscope Records following his upcoming F.I.V.E.: Fear Is Victory's Evolution release after considering a possible independent label shuffle.

Although Game said he prefers to have a major label backing, the rapper did not turn down the possibility of an indie move.

"Independent. That seems like a really, really good move where I can capitalize off of all the finances being made off of my music for once. But, I don't know, I kinda like having a lot of help, a lot of assistance from a big label," Game told MTV News. "I don't know, maybe we'll have a meeting about a lot of money or I'll be talking to my conscience." (MTV)

A few weeks ago, the platinum-selling rapper discussed his uncertain future after F.I.V.E.

"[Interscope Records head] Jimmy Iovine is, sh*t, probably weeks out from opening the budget for my fifth album," Game added. "And then once I do this F.I.V.E. album, it might be a wrap. We'll see. I know somebody going to give me some millions before I do anything. I see myself getting a lot of money to carry out the remaining time in my career. It don't really matter where it's at--it's just the imprint on the back of the album." (XXL Mag)

Last summer, the former G-Unit member also contemplated life after Interscope.

"You know Interscope/Aftermath, that's my label and I'ma hold it down for them forever," Game said. "I've been there for four albums, and I've got one more album before I'm a free agent. We're gonna try and turn that one around real quick, then I'll make the executive decision on what I'll do with the rest of my career. I might get into acting, I might go over to Cash Money. In August, Game's R.E.D. Album debuted atop its competition.

Leading the pack this week is Game's R.E.D. Album which debuted at No. 1. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the West Coast rapper's latest solo offering has sold 97,900 records in its opening week. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
