Rick Ross Justifies Remixing 50 Cent's "Baby By Me" Song, "I Had To Touch That" [Audio]

Rick Ross recently justified his reasons behind remixing 50 Cent's "Baby By Me" single and shared an opinion on his rap rival's leaked album, Before I Self Destruct.

From Ross' perspective, his motivation to appear on Fif's R&B record was sparked due to its production.

"Nah, nah, I just had to touch that beat and do it properly," Ross jokingly admitted in an interview with radio personality Jenny Boom Boom. "Nah, I just touched it and did a verse on there. If they want it for the album, get at me. My engineer, he was online and [50's album] was even worse than we originally thought. I was like [it] couldn't be. So they downloaded it and I heard it. It was a beat or two on there that was cool but for the most part, you know, it is what it is." (Jenny Boom Boom TV)

50 recently shared his surprised reaction to learning of Ross' remix.

"I've never seen a bigger fraud in hip-hop [with Rick Ross]," Fif explained in an interview. "He Just did a remix to 'Baby by Me.' It'll count as a spin for my record. He's an idiot. I'd be upset if my baby's momma was out there. He's broke. His last album sold 300,000 copies. [Triple C's Custom Cars & Cycles] just like sold 4,000 records." (Power 99 FM)

On the remix, Ross pokes fun at 50 by referring to his mansion which burned down last May.

"Have a baby by me baby, realest n*gga 'round," Ross raps. Ross has also taken to interviews to diss 50's G-Unit camp.

"I made more money, you know what I mean, after you crush such a huge donkey," Ross said referring to 50. "I'm the only one that put out a number one album and we in this business to put out records and put up numbers and generate funds and as you can see, I'm putting out another number one album while [G-Unit] hasn't put out one. So it's elementary to me and I think they learned their lesson, they know to keep going, R.I.P. Hold up, let's give a moment of silence, it's only right to bow our heads for Lloyd Banks.
